Welcome to May, otherwise known as the month dedicated to one of the most famous pop culture phenomenons out there: Star Wars! Star Wars features hundreds of thousands of galaxies in their out of the world space opera, and of course that means that there has been a lot of different kinds of foods seen in all of those planets. Let’s take off into the Star Wars universe…of food!

One dish mentioned in Star Wars: The Last Jedi is “roast Porg.” Porgs are adorable little creatures with unbelievably cute big eyes that just tug on your heart strings! Unfortunately for Porgs, however, they are also a great dinner dish for Wookies. Chewbacca is seen munching happily on a roasted Porg. At least they’re useful instead of just being cute!

The main character in the newest trilogy, Rey, is seen making some incredibly fast-rising bread in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It seems to be a very convenient meal prep choice on the dangerous planet of Jakku. Not only that, but the bread is a practical effect made on set instead of CGI!

The most famous Star Wars dish, however, has to be their “blue milk.” It’s the first food seen in the original trilogy, and comes from “Banthas.” It’s served by Beru, Luke Skywalker’s aunt, to Luke and his Uncle Owen. You can even make it yourself! Here’s the recipe from Disney:
